Hiya!

I want ta thank all of the Dulcet Tones fer makin the OAKS the first stop on their Show on the Road tour.   That was a fun time!   Sum times it’s hard ta tell whether the band or the audience has the most fun…and this band had many askin fer “ANOTHER ROUND”

Did ya ever take a walk by a tall Shire oak and from way up in the tree ya hear a single songbird singin all about how wonderful life is when ya be free?     Or ya walk a little further and hear the soft murmur of water fallin over sum rocks in a nearby brook?

Just one bird…or one lil stream…can make such a truly lovely sound it almost makes ya cry cause it touches yer heart wit its beauty..

A few years back when I first came ta live wit my Gammer Oakley, there be a lot of folks that played music down in the market square in Michel Delving..and mostly all by themselves.

Nowadays most folks like to play in bands…and sum of them are really BIG bands what has plenty of folks playin..and that makes fer sum beautiful harmony wit the many different instruments 🙂

But on the uther hand I no many, many folks in our Shire and beyond in Middle Earth who can play marvelous music all alone ….from a lively jig….ta a soft soulful melody..often wit touchin or maybee funny lyrics that bring a smile ta yer lips.

Actually two many ta put inta one concert…*giggles*…so I picked a few ta come and share their solos wit us fer the April OAKS.

Yup ..that’s rite! The April OAKS will be all solo artists! I have asked many mighty fine musicians ta come ta show how entertainin just ONE can be

Come join us in Oldfurlong on the first Saturday in April fer an OAKS wit…a twist…a solo twist *grins*

Maybee sumone will even play a song we can enjoy wit a twisty dance….or…maybee even a new twist on an old melody …or….

maybee a tune fit fer twistin a dwarfie’s beard inta braids!
*falls down laughing*

Warm hugs ta everybodee,
Acorne
